Our Approach
Rebecca's Story
Rebecca Cowan is an author, story teller, and activist. She believes in using her stories to incite change in the world. She is a member of the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) Speaker's Bureau. She is trained as a NY State Rape Crisis Counselor and has volunteered on crisis hotlines.
Rebecca shares her own stories and collects those of others in order to inform the public about issues of sexual, domestic, and dating violence that continue to affect women. She speaks on a variety of subjects in this vein with special focus on coercion and emotional abuse in intimate relationships.
She hopes that her stories not only inform the community but also inspire individuals to make healthier choices in their own dating and personal lives.
